A Night At The British Society of Magazine Editors’ Awards.

18th November 2014

Last night we were delighted to attend the British Society of Magazine Editors’ Awards (#BSMEAwards), held at The Brewery in the heart of London. The awards were presented by BSME Chair Guy Woodward and celebrity presenter Richard Bacon, who kept the crowd entertained, introducing performances from Strictly Come Dancing and the stunning jazz musician, Rumer.

Attended by the who’s who of the magazine world, we mingled with the likes of Andrew Barker, Editor of ES magazine, Phil Hilton, Editorial Director of Shortlist Media and, not forgetting our favourite Group Editor of Restaurant Magazine, William Drew (thank you for keeping our glasses topped up all night William!).

We were treated to Mumm Champagne on arrival, followed by a delicious dinner of slow roasted osso buco ravioli, pan roasted sea bass and a decadent nut and raisin brownie for dessert.

Congratulations go out to Luke Lewis from BuzzFeed UK, who won the prestigious Editor’s Editor of the Year Award, and to Caitlin Moran, who won Consumer Columnist of the Year for her popular column in the Times Magazine.

Until next year!
